You’ll love the privacy of this cabin nestled in the mountains. Enjoy coffee or drinks on the back deck that overlooks the woods. Plenty of space for solitude or for your group to spend quality time together playing board games, puzzles, reading, or exploring the many amenities at the resort and surrounding areas. The easy to operate pellet stove in the living room makes for extra cozy fire gazing and adds whole house warmth.

Main floor: Master Bedroom and full bath with shower on level first floor. Front wrap around porch opens to a large back partially covered deck with seating and large outdoor dining table. Great for bird and wildlife watching. Coat and shoe closet, full kitchen, Living room with Smart TV and DVD player (no Cable) and an easy to operate pellet stove for ultimate coziness. Dining room with exit to the back large partially covered deck with Seating, gas grill, and table for 8.

2nd floor: 2 bedrooms- Queen with a special kids nook accessible with a ladder (kids LOVE this), and a bedroom with two single beds, full bathroom, and loft areas with seating that is perfect for reading or relaxing which overlooks the main floor

Basement:.Additional bonus 4th bedroom/living area with queen bed and a couch/TV with DVD player, Laundry, and Foosball table. Basement door walks out to the wooded yard and fire pit.

Guests has full access to the house and basement as well as the woods surrounding home; outdoor fire pit, and resort amenities with access card (provided for guests). The cabin is about 3 miles from the main security gate and 4 miles to the lake and the Resort Lodge which has the indoor pool, fitness center, game room, restaurant, sports bar, gift shop, and Golf center.

Vehicle is best although one can easily walk around the resort from the cabin. Parking for 3-4 vehicles available in the driveway.

We leave communication up to the guest. It's self check-in/out and we just ask that you notify us upon your arrival/departure. We are happy to answer any questions you might have throughout your stay. I love to be helpful and offer suggestions.

Daylily Retreat is in Alpine Lake Resort, a private resort with a guarded 24-7 security entrance. It is on a quiet wooded street with no other houses visible from the large rear wooded deck.

Walking and driving are the best ways to get around Alpine Lake Resort. There is free parking in the driveway, you’ll obtain a Guest parking pass for the resort when you go through the security gate. There is no on street parking allowed.

The home:

The Daylily retreat is in the woods. Please be mindful of wildlife which will come to and near the home. Alpine Lake resort is located in Terra Alta which means "High Ground", and is West Virginia's "snowiest" towns averaging 175.0 inches each year according to The Weather Channel. It can be a beautiful winter wonderland. Roads are maintained however during heavy snowfall, 4X4 may be needed/helpful to reach the cabin.
